I swear I haven’t forgotten

Lately at the Goodwill Outlet there have been mostly bins of clothes.  I hate going through the clothes.  I will look, but something has to be on top for me to pick it up.  I have found a few good things for the girls in form of play clothes.   Daddy is a bit more willing.  He picked out some real doosies this last time.   I didn’t have my camera this time and I wish I had.  He found a pair of pants that were a goldenrod yellow and had maroon accents on the bottom third of the leg which were silhouettes of birds and leaves.   It was absolutely hideous!  He wanted to get them to wear just around the house.   I told him my eyes would start bleeding if he did that!  They were obnoxious and overly vibrant!

I need to find time to take pictures, but here’s one of Bug in the Old Navy coat Daddy found. It’s a boy’s jacket, but who cares at this point – it’s warm!

I haven’t forgotten about this blog

Life has been super crazy and I didn’t get my Goodwill fix this week.   I’ve had a few comments about the bins at the Goodwill Outlet.  Most have been that they didn’t realize they were huge bins and “ewwwww!”  It was hard at first for me too.  All the push for handwashing at the NICU and at work, the bins are a germaphobes nightmare.  Gloves my friend, gloves!   That and lots of handwashing afterwards.  Yuck!  It is also very disorganized other than being contained in bins – that is daunting at first too.  You just have to think of the thrill of the treasure hunt!

I will leave you with a few pictures I’ve posted on Bitterswweet.

There is no place like home…ummm, I don’t think Dorothy wore these!

I think I’ll start taking pictures of the crazy shoes I see there or at least the stripper shoes.

Little People stuff.

Skechers for Bug

More Little People Stuff and a rocking dog (ancient)

Purses (Louis Vuitton, Nine West, and Liz Claiborne) and a brand new, unopened cross stitch kit for my mom.

Young Contemporary Fashion

The price of the pattern was only $1.25 back in the day.

(Once again, I didn’t buy this, just took a picture.)

What the heck is that?

Okay, this was about 3 feet long, looked like felted wool – what is it?   I almost got it just for a dog toy, but instead took a picture of it.

An Introduction to my new obsession…..

Our local Goodwill Outlet store.   Oh the thrill of the treasure hunt!

Front row parking…

Bins….

Tangled up mess – can you spot any treasures?

That’s your introduction.  Stay tuned for interesting finds and “what the heck is that?” finds.

***I took my camera last time and someone was amazed I was taking pictures.   She grilled me about it.  Why on earth would I take pictures of this place and the junk?   Because I love it that’s why!   Actually, I told her that I was taking pictures to show my friends (that’s you) about what the big deal is.
